I've Been Where
Your Project Is

I've spent 20 years building, fixing, and scaling operations across several African markets. From gas fields to power plants, from large desert projects and construction camps to boardroom negotiations with state utilities.

I started in the field, managing teams, logistics, and P&Ls for a FTSE-listed power company. When I took over the Algeria operation, it was losing money every month. Six months later, it was cash-positive. That pattern repeated across Morocco, Tunisia, and West Africa.

Then I joined the executive board of a major integrated logistics and construction group, where I helped lead a post-COVID recovery that hit 10x above budget by 2023. I built project governance systems, managed multi-megawatt power projects for commercial and industrial clients, and mobilized workforces of over 1,000 people for large engineering, procurement, and construction projects.

Today, I run AYMTEC, a boutique advisory practice. I help energy and infrastructure companies navigate African markets, set up operations, and deliver projects. I work as a fractional executive, embedding directly in leadership teams rather than writing reports from the outside.

I also deploy AI as a daily operating tool. We're a small team, but we deliver like a large one. P&L management, ERP migrations, project documentation, client deliverables. Small footprint, big output.

I live in Spain and travel regularly across North and West Africa for client engagements.

The Biggest Mistake in African Market Entry

Treating the whole continent as one market. I've operated in 8 countries, and each one has a different playbook. Algeria is not Senegal. Mauritania is not Morocco. Here's what actually matters.

AI Didn't Replace My Team. It Replaced the Bottleneck.

We're a small team that delivers like a large one. AI is our operating system, not our pitch. Financial reconciliations, ERP migrations, project documentation. Here's how it actually works.

Why the Gantt Chart Won't Save Your African Infrastructure Project

I've managed projects across 8 markets. The ones that failed had beautiful Gantt charts. The ones that succeeded had leaders who understood that relationships move faster than timelines in Africa.

Let's Talk

I work best with companies that have a real operational challenge in African energy or infrastructure and need senior leadership, not a slide deck. If that sounds like your situation, let's have a conversation.

I typically respond within 24 hours. For formal proposals and company capabilities, visit AYMTEC.
